Rhinitis is the inflammation of mucus membrane of nose. Allergic rhinitis (AR) can be defined as the inflammation of nasal passage which results in runny nose, stuffy nose, itchy nose, itchy eyes, sneezing etc.
Genetic predisposition is the strongest factor to cause this. An individual having AR has 30 % chances to transmit the same to successive generation. If both the parents are affected by AR then 50 % chance of transmitting the same to next generation is there.
Various allergens like dust, pollen, animal dander, smoke etc are considered as the cause of AR; on exposure to which the symptoms of AR appear. But the real cause is the hypersensitivity of the individual who is prone to get affected by these allergens.
If we look for the cause in more depth then it is the decreased immunity of the person which makes him hypersensitive.
Symptoms of sinus headache, breathlessness may also be associated.
If AR is not treated well or is suppressed by non homeopathic treatment then complications like tonsillitis, bronchitis, asthma etc. develop.
